What is the process of bringing home a Sorrel Mountain Puppy?
First fill out the following application don't forget to submit the APPLICATION FEE. Once a litter has arrived you will be contacted in order of finished application. At this time a holding deposit is due to secure a puppy from the litter.
Deposits are non-refundable.
How do I choose a puppy?
At six weeks you will be able to choose your puppy from picture and video. Choosing is done in order of deposit received. Communication throughout this process helps us to help you choose the right puppy for your family.
Can we meet the puppies and their parents?
We do not allow visits with pups or parents until pick up day. This is veterinarian recommended and for the health and safety of our puppies. They start their vaccinations here on the Mountain, but are not protected until they are fully vaccinated. A multi vaccination process which will occur over the next few months of going home.
What do puppies come with?
Sorrel Mountain Puppies come with limited AKC Registration, their first vaccines started, wormed regularly beginning at two weeks and a small bag of puppy food to get started with. Also a toy and a blanket with moms scent :)
What can you tell me about the parents?
All of our Sorrel Mountain Dogs are a part of our family. Of course we have kennels, but raise all of our dogs with family. Each dog participates in all family activities (hiking, camping, kayaking, and just chilling in the house). We make sure all of our adults have the willing versatile and gentle temperament of a Sorrel Mountain Dog. in addition all dogs are fully genetically tested to ensure healthy genes ensuring healthy pups. Many illness are related to environment so it will be important for you to be mindful of this and make the best possible choices for the health and longevity of your pup once you take them home.
